|Merger MontClair - Raetsheren
MontClair was acquired by Raetsheren in 2016. This acquisition was due to the fact that the organisations complement one another and, jointly, are in a better position to provide added value to the customers of both organisations.
In recent years, it has become increasingly apparent that a further integration of the two organisations will help to optimise the quality of the services provided. The desire for full integration is influenced in part by factors such as further digitalisation of the world in which we work, the COVID-19 pandemic, an ongoing tough insurance market, plus further consolidation of brokers and insurers in the insurance market, which means that scale is becoming increasingly important.
MontClair Groep B.V. and Raetsheren van Orden Groep B.V. will legally merge on 1 July 2022. Raetsheren will be the acquiring company and MontClair will continue under the name Raetsheren.
Contacts already assigned to you and your organisation will not change. More specifically, there will be no changes in terms of account manager, account handler and/or specialist. The contact details for these people will change over the coming months to Raetsheren contact details (specifically email addresses). Your contacts will inform you about this separately in due course.
Name change on policies
On 1 July 2022, policies issued on MontClair’s Letterhead (co-insurance market / underwriting agency) will be transferred to Raetsheren. This means that the name MontClair will no longer appear on your insurance policy as the broker, but instead this will be Raetsheren. These policies will also be produced on Raetsheren’s letterhead.
In terms of insurance policies issued by insurers, as from 1 January 2023, these will also be in the name of Raetsheren. However a longer transition phase will apply to these policies, because insurers will need more time to convert policies in their administration.
This means that for the period from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2022 , you may receive policies listing Raetsheren as the broker, but also policies in which MontClair is still named as the broker. We understand that this may be confusing, but eventually all policies will be in the name of Raetsheren. The broker’s name listed in a policy will make no difference to the nature and scope of the cover.
You can notify claims to Raetsheren in the same way that you did to MontClair. If you have notified a claim before and you know who is dealing with the claim, you will continue to correspond with that individual claims handler.
Raetsheren uses general email boxes for each claims team. As from 1 July you can, of course, also notify claims using these general email boxes. You will be informed about this in due course.
MontClair’s bank account number (which you currently already use) will continue to be used after the merger date of 1 July 2022. Raetsheren’s trade name will be added to this account number, meaning that you can transfer premiums to either of the trade names on this account.
As this is a legal merger, all contractual agreements will be honoured. All rights and obligations will transfer from MontClair to Raetsheren by operation of law.
